Spago

When Wolfgang Puck brought Spago to The Forum Shops in 1992, it was considered risky for a chef of his stature to open a restaurant in Las Vegas. After a shaky start, however, it became a local institution, which remained a favorite of both vacationing celebrity chef fans and local power brokers for over 25 years. So Puck’s decision to relocate his local flagship to Bellagio in 2018 raised more than a few eyebrows.

Any doubts quickly proved to be unfounded when the new restaurant was revealed. The spacious dining room on Bellagio’s shopping esplanade (near the Flamingo Road valet) is as beautiful and relaxing as the original. And the patio overlooking the resort’s dancing fountains offers one of the best al fresco dining opportunities in town. The menu is packed with Puck’s classic California cuisine, and there may be no better place in any city to reflect on the timeless glory of his famed smoked salmon pizza. But be sure to save room for dessert. Puck’s corporate executive pastry chef, Joel Robuchon alumnus Kamel Guichida, seems to save some of his most stunning creations for his most famous marquee.
