Bellagio Buffet

$ $

The return of weekend dinner service at the Bellagio Buffet, at least through the summer of 2024, was music to the ears of buffet fans, and many other foodies.

Picked in the Buffet category by the founder of Secret Burger Inc. and Vegas Test Kitchen Jolene Mannina and longtime Review-Journal food writer Heidi Rinella, this gourmet spread is centrally situated next to the O Theater. Cuisines from around the world include Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican and American, with several live-action cooking stations where your selection goes straight from the pan to your plate.

Among the myriad offerings are an omelet station, a carving station where a chef slices marinated flank steak, rotisserie chicken, St. Louis ribs, a toast bar (with toppings such as eggs, avocado, prosciutto and Nutella), pasta, pizza, extensive eggs Benedict options, fried chicken and waffles, a seafood selection (oysters Rockefeller, seared salmon, Chilean sea bass and ahi poke) make-your-own bagel section (with several toppings like Scottish smoked salmon, capers and eggs), Far East delicacies (such as vegetable stir fry, Hong Kong BBQ buns and shrimp shu mai) and desserts (including lemon meringue tarts, carrot cake, chocolate mousse, raspberry mousse, panna cotta, flourless chocolate cake, cheesecake and gelato).
