Settebello

Settebello has two Las Vegas locations on opposite sides of town: one for the Summerlin crowd in the VIllage Square shopping center and another at The District in Henderson's Green Valley Ranch. Either way, you're getting authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas with a beautifully charred crust that's thin and chewy, but strong enough to handle a variety of toppings, including imported Italian ingredients and produce from California farms.

Even the wood-fired pizza ovens are cool, built with Italian ingenuity and volcanic rock from Mt. Vesuvius. The dough is flattened by hand, without a rolling pin, for funky, circular shapes that are far from symmetrical, which is part of the charm. Settebello offers two variations on a classic Margherita, but the Prosciutto & Fig or Brie & Apricot combos are in high demand for those who appreciate lighter, brighter flavors. Vegas journalist Stacey Gualandi and Kathryn Kelly of Taste Buzz Food Tours are both fans.

It's pizza, so takeaway orders are common, but feel free to hang out in the dining room and enjoy your meal in person. The dining rooms are well-designed with rustic, semi-industrial decor and plenty of wood on standby to fuel those ovens. The menu is rounded out by a variety of appetizers (try the meatballs) and salads with daily specials and a weekday happy hour.
