$ $At the first restaurant by famed baker Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro, star of the reality TV show Cake Boss, the majority of the Italian menu items are based on family recipes of his mom, grandmother, aunts, wife and mother-in-law. Examples are Grandma’s Meatballs (made with veal, pork, marinara and parmesan), Lisa V’s Linguini & Clams (with white wine and garlic), Nona’s Lasagna Al Forno (with Italian sausage, beef and pork), and Valastro Sunday Gravy (with meatballs, sausage, lamb and pork, over rigatoni).
Not surprisingly, the restaurant also serves an impressive dessert selection (saving you a trip to his Carlo’s Bakery, just across the concourse). Options include cannoli, Nutella cake and Valastro's signature Lobster Tail Pastry (a custard cream-filled pastry shell).
The weekend brunch is a favorite of Allied Global Marketing Senior VP Arlene Wszalek. It's served buffet-style with interactive food stations (one is stocked solely with kids’ favorites), and a sweets station loaded up with cakes and candy.
