595 Craft & Kitchen

The numerical moniker references the little-known fact that a portion of Rainbow Blvd. is designated State Route 595. A novel feature is a strip to set your glass on built into the metal bartop, filled with glycol to maintain the cool temperature of your drink.

What also stands out here is the unique beer list. GM and co-owner Van-Alan Nguyen says, “Diversity of beer and beer styles is key. We don’t want to have the same beers everyone else has.” The selection changes constantly, and the 24-tap lineup always contains a varied range of beer styles such as Belgian tripel, coffee stout, German helles lager, sour ale, IPA and jalapeno wheat.

There are always several local beers on tap. And to further promote them, they are priced reasonably (during happy hour, they’re 20% off).

Although beer is the main draw, the food menu offers a mix of comfort foods like tacos and nachos and Southeast Asia-influenced dishes, including five types of banh mi sandwiches and eight varieties of rice bowls.
