Fremont Food Hall

$

A fresh round of renovations at the historic Fremont Hotel & Casino has brought the booming food hall trend to Downtown.

The Fremont Food Hall plays it smart, offering something for everyone without pandering. Steak 'n Shake and Dunkin' are there for the masses who crave familiarity. But the Fremont also brought in some out-of-market concepts that know how to do comfort food right. You've got Huey Magoo's, from Florida, for all-natural, hormone-free chicken tenders, as well as two California imports: Tomo Noodles, for Chinese street food, and Roli Roti, for free-range rotisserie pork and chicken.

Yet the presence of CraftKitchen is the biggest coup. Chef Jaret Blinn presents a streamlined version of what made the Henderson original so successful without sacrificing commitment to quality ingredients and exceptional flavor combinations. The pastries, especially the croissants and Kouign Amanns, are fantastic, while some new additions (ube bread pudding and a hearty Loco Moco) are a nod to the Fremont's history of courting Hawaiian visitors. Jana of Eater Las Vegas is a fan, saying you've "got to give a nod to the Fremont Hotel & Casino for bringing CraftKitchen Downtown."

The Fremont Food Hall is a bright, open 13,150-square-foot space with communal seating, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an outdoor patio. A separate side entrance makes it easy for Fremont Street tourists to visit without trekking through the casino.
