Gymkhana

Gymkhana earned two Michelin stars in London before coming to Las Vegas, giving the Aria an indulgent splurge-worthy restaurant with high-end Indian cuisine that's perfect for special occasions and conventioneers with loose expense accounts. The name is a nod to vintage Indian sports clubs and the dark, moody dining room has an unmistakable feeling of exclusivity.

The cocktails tend to be bright and crisp, balancing the bold flavors of the food. The Pina Col-Lassi is a clarified take on a Pina Colada and the Delhi Dalgona is like an Espresso Martini with a creamy coconut twist.

The recipes are robust and dense in both aromatics and calories. Even sharing plates, it's easy to feel full by the end of the meal. But it's hard to resist the heat of the Tandoori Chicken and the bold flavors in the chutney served with the papadam (thin, crispy flatbread). The biryani (saffron rice) comes with a choice of mushrooms or venison, and the beef short rib pepper fry is a spicy Vegas exclusive. A tangy Goan curry brings out the flavors in a lobster dish, while prawns are brought to life in a garlic-heavy lasooni. With so much happening on the menu, it’s not surprising a local caviar peddler listed Gymkhana as his favorite Indian restaurant in Las Vegas.
