Frankie's Tiki Room
Frankie’s Tiki Room, opened by P Moss of Vegas icon Double Down Saloon fame, is housed in an unassuming little building that screams “’50’s Tiki Room” next to a gas station at Charleston Boulevard and Shadow Lane, near University Medical Center and the I-15.
That vibe was essential to Moss, who saw a need for a tiki bar in Las Vegas after classic tiki bars around the city all closed their doors over time and changing tastes. Built out in 2008 in the old Frankie’s Bar & Cocktail Lounge, he enlisted the help of Bamboo Ben, grandson of tiki pioneer Eli Hedley to gut and completely remake the inside of the old cocktail bar. Keeping the name was an homage to its history.
Frankie's is open 24 hours daily and welcomes patrons with a bright pink neon sign on the building. The inside is dark and intimate, with tiki decor, carvings and original artworks from multiple genre artists. Bar seating, small tables, and a separate group area are available.
With more than 30 original and classic tiki drinks on the menu, Frankie’s is a gaming and dive bar “perfect for closing a night out,” according to journalist Janna Karel.
