Fine Japanese food in elegant surroundings comes to the suburbs in this palace of sushi, sashimi, robata dishes, bento bowls, soups, salads, entrees and a number of vegan selections.

Bluefin tuna, Scottish salmon, branzino and San Diego uni are among the sushi offered. Rolls include the Softshell Crab Spider Maki (a whole crab with cucumber, chive, tobiko and wasabi mayo) and the NeNe Pop Wrap Maki (assorted fish wrapped in cucumbers and soy paper with avocado, shredded daikon and spicy vinaigrette).

Asian-style rice dishes aren’t the only ones celebrated here. They also have risotto, including one with king crab, one with scallops and uni and one with black cod.

Regular prices are comparatively low, but specials abound and include such offers as summer and lunch menus. And if you go between 4 and 10 p.m. on a Sunday – that’s a big window – you can take advantage of happy hour, with most sushi priced at $1.50 to $3.50 and rolls $6 to $8.
