Carl’s Donuts

Chris Decker, managing partner of Metro Pizza and baker extraordinaire, definitely knows his dough. And he appreciates the variety and quality of Carl’s Donuts.

“The thing I love most about Carl’s is you can have an over-the-top ‘funky’ doughnut that we all crave from time to time, or you can get a classic like the maple bar or old-fashioned,” Decker said. “It’s the perfect mix of old school and new school. No matter how you’re feeling, they’ve got you covered.”

And if you’re looking for something a little fancier, he adds, “The croissants are killer!”

Carl’s has been in business since 1966 – an eternity in Las Vegas. While most of the neighborhood locations have gone by the wayside, they’ve got a newish big, shiny place near the airport.

There you’ll find “top shelf” doughnuts (such as the Bananas Foster Bar or cinnamon roll with brûléed cream), “fancy doughnuts” (think apple fritter or chocolate popper) or classic doughnuts (which include coconut cake, lemon shortbread, Bavarian cream and cinnamon crumb cake). They also offer doughnut holes in several flavors.
