Naked City Express (Multiple Locations)

Southwest Location

After helping Rick Bayless open a Mexican restaurant in MGM Grand, and going on to become that casino’s youngest executive chef, Buffalo native Chris Palmeri struck out on his own to open a hot dog stand, and later a sandwich shop. But it was his decision to bring the pizza he grew up with to the Las Vegas suburbs that finally brought him national attention, including an appearance on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Locally, chef/journalist Lorraine Blanco Moss, culinary promoter Jolene Mannina and journalist Al Mancini are among his die-hard fans.

This location inside the Blue Diamond Saloon has a more limited menu than the one on Paradise Road. But you can still get Naked City’s rectangular pies, with several over-the-top sets of toppings. Palmeri pays tribute to his childhood home with the Buffalo (white garlic sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage crispy garlic and hot honey) and the Buffalo Chicken (blue cheese, mozzarella and spicy crispy chicken), but also acknowledges his new home with the UNLV-themed Rebel Pizza (signature sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ham, salami, tomato and fresh basil). Or try the Guinea Pie (white garlic sauce, spinach, meatballs, mozzarella and ricotta) that he made for Guy Fieri.
