Starboard Tack

When asked to name their favorite gaming bar with great food, more of our experts named Starboard Tack than any other establishment or chain. Chalk that up to not only delicious food, but also a colorful history and amazing vibe.
Opening as Starboard Tack in 1972, this has long been a place where locals, especially those in the hospitality industry, have gone to enjoy cocktails and food while trying their luck on a video poker machine. During its colorful history and multiple names, Starboard Tack was often the watering hole of choice for famed Strip performers who wanted to relax away from the crowds.

In 2017, local bar veterans Bryant Jane and Lyle Cervenka resurrected the Starboard Tack name, adding a few of their own touches. It's now a place for locals and tourists to enjoy craft cocktails, elevated bar food and gaming. There's even the Starboard Tack Shuffleboard Club dedicated to the classic tabletop bar game.

On the culinary front, appetizers include Pu Pu Platter with coconut shrimp skewer, baby back mai tai ribs, jerk wings, shishito peppers and lumpia. For vegan guests, try lumpia with sweet chili sauce or blistered shishito peppers with a miso glaze.
