Alexxa's Kitchen + Bar

$ $ $

This restaurant was originally known as Hexx, which is also the brand name of the gourmet chocolate bars made from scratch in the restaurant’s on-site exhibition kitchen. That chocolate is derived from cacao beans that are carefully sourced from some of the world’s top farms, and was selected by food and beverage writer Bob Barnes and Thrillist’s Rob Kachelriess as some of the best candy in Las Vegas. It’s also incorporated into many of the desserts.

Sweets aren’t the only reason to visit, however. The full-service restaurant offers a mix of cuisines in its salads, sandwiches, pastas and seafood. The dinner menu includes calamari served with rock shrimp and sriracha aïoli, hummus with crispy chickpeas za’atar and cavatelli Bolognese with braised short rib ragu. Brunch, served daily from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., offers the dessert-like cinnaroll waffle with cream cheese frosting, blueberries, raspberries and candied pecans.

With the patio situated right on the Vegas Strip, it’s also a great place for viewing the Fountains of Bellagio and the passers-by, making it Social Media Marketing Manager Emily Romero’s pick for People Watching.
