Della's Kitchen

Nationally renowned travel writer (and frequent Las Vegas visitor) Matt Villano recommends this eatery as a great spot for breakfast. Located steps from the Delano lobby, on the walk to Mandalay Bay, it's described as “historic farmhouse meets urban kitchen,” with an elegant combination of classics, comfort food and seasonal specialties centered around fresh, locally sourced ingredients. In keeping with the farm-to-table theme, the décor features hardwood flooring and wood chairs and tables, and shelves lined with multi-colored jars and bottles.

Specializing in breakfast and lunch fare, signature dishes include chicken & waffles (sweet tea-brined buttermilk fried chicken breast, crisp waffle, whipped jalapeño maple butter and pure maple syrup), smoked salmon tartine (housemade crème fraîche, smoked salmon, heirloom tomato relish and shaved cucumber on Granello Bakery country multi-grain toast) and short rib & eggs (braised short ribs, mushroom demi, two farm eggs, choice green onion hash browns, roasted red bliss potatoes or sliced tomato).

Be sure to take note of the housemade hot sauce and jams, which complement several of the menu offerings and hard-pressed juice concoctions like Desert Dawn with watermelon, pineapple, grapefruit, turmeric, ginger and red beet.
