Yu-Or-Mi Sushi Bar
This relatively new arrival to the Arts District sits on a prime piece of real estate -- directly across the street from neighborhood hub Esther’s Kitchen, and within a stone’s throw of some of the most popular bars and restaurants in the valley. The cozy dining room, minimalist décor and simple menu make it a perfect match for the neighborhood. And it fills a niche, as the only Japanese restaurant within walking distance of the hottest stroll in Las Vegas: Main Street, south of Charleston. None of that would matter, of course, if it didn’t deliver the quality that foodies have come to expect from the local eateries. Fortunately, it does.
The sushi menu offers about 20 fish options --mostly the usual suspects, although you will occasionally find less common sushi options such as lobster, sea bream and blue crab. It’s all high-quality, and prepared with skill. The menu also offers hot dishes like teriyaki, lamb chops, ramen and noodles. Wash it down with some premium sake or a Japanese whisky.
